Networks
Caracol is a member of two regional networks; The Guatemalan Community Arts Network (RGAC) and the Mesoamerican Community Arts Movement (MARACA). MARACA is a member of the Latin American Network for Social Transformation (RELATS).
Presently Caracol is the only organization that enables Belizeans to participate in the arts festivals, carnivals, forums, encounters, training and exchanges produced by these regional networks. However, one of our goals is to form a local network of groups working with young people in the arts and increase Belize's presence in the dynamic community arts movement developing across the American continent.

Mesoamerican Youth & Community Art Movement - MARACA
MARACA provides opportunities for sharing methodology and experience in youth development and community art, through workshops, encounters, festivals and exchange. It encourages reflection on the state of youth in the regional and involves creativity, sensitization, artistic expression and experimentation.
Guatemalan Community Art Network - RGAC
RGAC is a recently formed network that includes 23 groups from across all departments of Guatemala. Caracol is permitted membership because of our young participants from Arenal Guatemala. The network promotes community arts, youth development, strategies against violence and all forms of personal development activities.
Latin American Art Network for Social Transformation - RELATS
RELATS is made up of diverse Latin American networks, collectives, and organizations that have a common agenda to change attitudes and actions. RELATS promotes social integration, citizenship and intercultural dialogue in contexts of vulnerability. The purpose of RELATS is to strengthen democracy, strengthen equity of children and youth in the region and achieve social transformation.
